Homelab
Homelab projects built from repurposed computers, mini PCs and server hardware. Proxmox, Docker, storage, networking and self-hosted services including the actual setup, problems and fixes.
A homelab is a place to run services, test infrastructure and learn by working with real systems. Mine is built from a mix of repurposed computers, mini PCs and server hardware, with Linux, Proxmox, Docker and TrueNAS handling most of the work.
This section contains practical notes from that environment: virtualization, containers, storage, monitoring, networking, remote access and self-hosted services. The articles describe configurations I actually use, including problems encountered during setup and the fixes that worked.
A useful homelab does not require a rack or an enterprise budget. A spare computer or small x86 machine is enough to learn Linux administration, experiment with infrastructure and run services under your own control.
